So, AHS Coven?

81

u/Mechasockmonkey Oct 01 '22

I love how everything is in the same universe so even if they go to a different place in a season there's a chance to see some of the coven again because that was a great arc.

30

u/Explogan Oct 01 '22

In the apocalypse/Armageddon season (I forget what it's called) it basically becomes a sequel to Coven

133

u/Comfortable_Ad_1959 Oct 01 '22

This was my first thought! I would totally rewatch if it were just that girl in the bayou jamming to fleetwood

13

u/Aggressive_Smile_944 Oct 01 '22

We need this. Sounds so good. Also I love AHS. New season coming. Yay.

23

u/liog2step Oct 01 '22

I’m rewatching now just for Lily Rabe β™₯️

I'd watch it! My MIL (awesome) loved Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks and got me into them. She died 2 months before the kids were born. I miss her and I feel closer to her when I hear Fleetwood Mac... my kids even know when a Fleetwood Mac song comes on because it's "Oma's song". She would have absolutely loved a musical like this... we would've danced together with our silk scarves lol.

u/Ornery_Translator285 Oct 01 '22

Aww German grandmas the best ❀️

3

u/valkyrie0627 Oct 02 '22

She would have been a fantastic Oma! She was so excited to hear her only son was having twins. We told her by giving her a tie dye (she was also a flower child) gma shirt and a bunch of name tags that had different grandma names (granny, Nana, mimi, memaw) and a blank one. She wrote Oma in the blank one and thats what i refer to her as. It hurts that she never met the kids. I miss her so much!

Same! My MIL passed this year and she was a huge fan of Mama Mia (and ABBA), but also Fleetwood Mac, and we shared a lot of witchy stuff in common. I feel like this movie would have been a great bonding experience if it were made and she were still with us

2

u/valkyrie0627 Oct 02 '22

My MIL loved mama Mia! I gave her crap for it until I finally watched it and loved it too! We watched pitch perfect together too... the cups song always reminds me of her. I wish I had done more silly things with her. It's a big regret of mine.

Title:Rhiannon

16

u/OlGreggMare Oct 01 '22

*Rhiiiaaaaaaaaannnnon

53

u/Agreeable-Tadpole461 Oct 01 '22

I didn't know I needed this, but now that this idea is out there, I will think about it every single day until I die.

36

u/ManaXed Oct 01 '22

The musical is named after the song. So I wonder what the Fleetwood Mac version would be called

70

u/WidderWillZie Oct 01 '22

Rhiannon. She would be our protagonist.

7

u/CopprRegendt Oct 01 '22

Song of Rhiannon, like the ancient Nordic myth

42

u/getwhatImsaying Oct 01 '22

go your own way

39

u/ttminecraft Oct 01 '22

Dreams, The Chain, Go Your Own Way, Rhiannon... there are a lot of good ones to choose from!

u/phonymaroney Oct 01 '22

Sisters of the Moon.

3

u/NickyTheRobot Sci-fi Witch β˜‰ Oct 01 '22

Don't Stop, Tango in the Night, Big Love, and Dreams are good contenders. Rhiannon (as another user mentioned) would be particularly good for witchy vibes. Or if you want to include the Peter Green years then Dust My Broom and Black Magic Woman would also be good shouts.

2

u/InsomniacCyclops Oct 01 '22

Silver Springs?

12

u/leinliloa Oct 01 '22

ooooh i’m picturing the set of Kate Bush’s The Sensual World! ahhhh πŸŒšπŸπŸŒ™πŸŒ²βœ¨

11

u/CrotchWolf Oct 01 '22

I'd definitely watch a movie like Mamma Mia but with Fleetwood Mac as the soundtrack.

12

u/JasnahKolin Oct 01 '22

Sign me up. Can I wear more than one twirling shawl?

25

u/SolitaryAngel Oct 01 '22

I see your Fleetwood Mac and I raise you a Lord Huron.

12

u/theHerbivore Oct 01 '22

Oh fuck yes please. Album by album, let’s go.

8

u/random_username_96 Oct 01 '22

Into The Woods had Meryl Street at least?

7

u/DLN-000 Oct 01 '22

Add a polyamorous ending and I’m in

7

u/BaylisAscaris Oct 01 '22

And they're all women, no men in the movie.

2

u/Gulbasaur Science Witch ♂️ Oct 02 '22

Apart from the actual male members of Fleetwood Mac, whose presence is never acknowledged by anybody else in the film.

5

u/NickyTheRobot Sci-fi Witch β˜‰ Oct 01 '22

This is a terrible idea because I would never stop watching it on repeat, nor would I stop belting out every single line until all my friends, neighbours, and co-workers ostracise me. And then I still wouldn't stop.

6

u/CelticSpoonie Oct 01 '22

I'm already interested in buying the soundtrack!

5

u/yelahneb Oct 01 '22

3

u/Marpleface Oct 01 '22

I need to be a back up singer In this movie

3

u/NorthernLolal Oct 01 '22

Only if its Peter Green era, and not Buckingham Nicks, But to each their own!

5

2

u/ThatDMDemigal Oct 01 '22

And the title is Go Your Own Way

2

u/StarlordeMarsh Oct 01 '22

That movie could even be titled Back Magic Woman, considering the song was originally written by Peter Green from Fleetwood Mac

https://youtu.be/VbKREkuDh3s

2

u/Gold-Perspective5340 Oct 01 '22

Peter Green era Fleetwood Mac or Stevie Nicks and Lyndsey Buckingham era Fleetwood Mac?

1

u/Welshmans_Layla99 Oct 02 '22

Yes, please!!!

1

u/RedditStrolls Oct 02 '22

Yes but I'd prefer Florence and the Machine and minimal interaction

1

u/librocubicularist67 Oct 07 '22

No matter what the story or the ending is, the closing song is TUSK, and it's a big musical number.
